Summer in London £10 ticket offer at the Theatre Royal Stratford East
Hello,
I’m getting in touch from Theatre Royal Stratford East about Summer in London, a brand new show written and directed Rikki Beadle-Blair, with an all trans cast.
I think the play may be of interest to your GPN members. It’s about friendship, finding love and being yourself and has a great positive message for the trans community and might be a nice activity for a group social.
You can read more about the show below and see more details here and there’s also an intro video about the play here.
We can also offer your contacts and friends £10 tickets, details of which are listed in the email below, you just need to add the codeSUMMERTEN at the checkout. It would be great if you can share this with members you feel would be interested.
Look forward to hearing from you,
All the best,
Katie

Job offer: Engagement Officer at LGBT Consortium
Good afternoon everyone
Am sending this email out to all our Member organisations across London. Am really pleased, and hopefully you will have seen coverage, that Consortium has been funded by City Bridge Trust for 3 years to build an online LGBT services portal and provide capacity building support to LGBT organisations in London. This is a really exciting project because it will mean we can look at some of the recommendations from the Still Out There Research and look to move forward with them. It is also exciting as we will be partnering with GMFA/HERO with this project who will lead on the building of the online portal and ensuring it remains up to date.
As part of this, we are recruiting a part-time member of staff for 3 days a week as an Engagement Officer. Recruitment is open with a deadline of Thursday 26th July at midday. Information about the role, along with the job description and application form can be found at www.lgbtconsortium.org.uk/LGBTLondonEO.
GMFA/HERO will also be recruiting a role as part of this project, as well as using other funding to top the role up to full time. Their job information can be found at https://www.gmfa.org.uk/digital-and-social-engagement-officer-full-time-job and deadline is Wednesday 26th July at midday.
Please could I ask you to circulate information about these jobs to anyone you think might have the right skills and experience.
We very much look forward to working with all our Members across London as this project develops and have some exciting opportunities for you all to get involved—even having opportunities to be paid to engage!
Thanks everyone and best wishes
Paul

Do you have strong views on sexuality or gender? Express them on TV!
Hello,
Hope you are well.
My name is Melanie and I am a Producer at a TV production company called Optomen. We are a multi-award winning production company. We are known for making high profile observational documentary programmes for all the major UK broadcasters. Our productions include the critically acclaimed BBC2 series Employable Me and BBC2’s highest rating long running series The Great British Menu.
We are currently looking for people aged 18 and over to take part in a new ground-breaking documentary for a major broadcaster which will explore sexual and gender identity. In the past five years gender-fluidity has exploded into public consciousness and in this show we aim to find out why this is happening and educate our viewers. Filming is going to take place in September 2017. We are looking for bright, confident and outgoing people with strong views on modern day sexuality and gender.
I was wondering whether you would be able to help us spread the word. I have attached our flyers so please feel free to pass them onto anyone you think might be interested, maybe you could pop some up in your staff room, circulate them among your colleagues or post them on your social media pages?
Please feel free to give me a call if you have any questions regarding the show.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Look forward to hearing from you
Melanie
